Besides the 73 people who got sick from onions with Salmonella, the government is looking into a new wave of sickness caused by E. coli O121:H9. So far, this has made 37 people sick, says the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). The FDA hasn’t shared any details about the sick people, like where they live.
The FDA is trying to find out where the E. coli came from, but they haven’t said what food or foods they’re looking at. They also haven’t started testing any samples related to this.
